About wool:

Wool fibres are natural and have an affinity with human skin. Wool possesses qualities such as warmth retention, the ability to regulate humidity and it allows skin to breathe. Wool can absorb up to one third of its own weight of moisture and, if outside conditions allow, return it to the environment. Engel uses wool that comes from Merino sheep, so the virgin wool is finely crimped, does not itch and feels soft and cosy. The Merino sheep are organically farmed and therefore live a healthy and stress-free life, and pesticides are banned from the pasture as well as the animals themselves.

Sizing:

The Engel sizing labels on these cotton vests are 50/56 cm (fits an average 0-3 months old) / 62/68 cm (fits an average 3-6 months old) / 74/80 cm (fits an average 6-12 months old) / 86/92 cm (fits an average 12-24 months)

These Engel baby vests have a slim style, and feedback suggests that they are on the smaller side size wise – so if in doubt, buy a size up!

Engel sizing follows the European method, which refers to the height rather than age. The label inside this garment refers to height in cm which applies to the measurement from the top of the head to the heel.

Care: Wool is naturally antibacterial and so requires less washing. These clothes should be hand washed only with detergent for wool and in lukewarm water (too hot or too cold can damage the wool). Reshape whilst damp and if possible dry flat.
